7 Way Interclub Print Competition - 27th January 2022.

On Thursday 27th January it was the turn of Ashington Camera Club to host the annual 7 Way Interclub
Print Competition. Clubs from Morpeth, Wooler, Amble, Ashington, Alnwick, Blyth and Cambois make up
the Northern Area Group of the NCPF (Northern Counties Photographic Federation) and each were invited
to submit four colour & four monochrome prints on any subject.

Ashington had invited David Hall ARPS EFIAP DPAGB BPE3* to judge this competition and he stated that
he had some quite difficult decisions to make between some of the higher marked prints in the contest.
David then commented on each print before awarding a mark out of thirty. In a good competition with a
great variety of subject matter in both colour & monochrome prints, Amble Photo Group were the clear
winners, leading from the first print and with one of their prints 'Faith' also scoring the maximum thirty
out of thirty marks. The results were as follows;

                                             1st.   Amble Photo Group                    - 223 marks.
                                             2nd.  Blyth Photographic Society         - 211 marks.
                                             3rd.  Ashington Camera Club              - 206 marks.
                                             4th.  Cambios Photographic Society    - 202 marks.
                                             5th.  Alnwick & District Camera Club  - 199 marks.
                                             6th.  Morpeth Camera Club               - 198 marks.
                                             7th.  Wooler & District Camera Club  - 187 marks.

Thank you to Morpeth members who supplied prints and to those who attended and supported the club
for a good evening of photography with refreshments and a buffet supper provided by the host club. It
was also a return to normality after the enforced break of this competition due to covid restrictions.

Davy.
